Gian Federico Benevolo Refuge
Located at 2,287 meters at the head of the Rhêmes Valley, the Benevolo Refuge is a landmark of the Gran Paradiso National Park. Opened in 1930 and dedicated to mountaineer Gian Federico Benevolo, it offers an unparalleled view of Granta Parey. Easily accessible from Thumel with a family-friendly hike, it is a renowned destination for both summer hiking and spring ski-mountaineering. The building, renovated in 2013, maintains its warm alpine hospitality and serves excellent local cuisine.
