Rifugio Mario Bezzi
At 2,284 metres in the upper Valgrisenche, the Bezzi hut overlooks the broad Vaudet basin, at the foot of the Grande Sassière and the Gliairetta glacier. A support point on Alta Via 2 and a base for the glacier passes towards France, in one of the wildest, least-visited valleys in the region.

History
The hut, built between the wars and enlarged several times, is named after Mario Bezzi, a Milanese mountaineer devoted to these mountains. Its position at the Vaudet alp has made it for generations the natural support point for crossings to the Rhêmes valley and for the border summits with the Tarentaise.

What to do there
