The trail starts from Strada Cappuccini at 601 m and climbs firmly to Excenex at 1,036 m: just 3.2 km but with a 452 m elevation gain that demands steady legs. Rated E on the CAI scale, the route quickly sheds the valley floor for a landscape of meadows and mixed woodland typical of the sub-alpine belt of Val d'Ayas. The regional registry recommends it from April to October, reflecting its moderate altitude. Suitable as an approach to Excenex or a solid half-day outing.
