Arsines - Col Fenetre

GPX track — verify on the ground before hiking
Fitness level
From the hamlet of Arsines, at 1,348 metres above Arnad, the path climbs to Col Fenêtre, a pass at 1,671 metres in the lower Aosta Valley. Under three kilometres with almost five hundred metres of ascent, a hike through chestnut and beech woods, terraces and grazing clearings typical of the sunny adret slope of the lower valley. The col, as its name suggests, is a 'window' that opens the view onto the Dora Baltea valley floor and the surrounding peaks. A compact, undemanding outing, ideal in the shoulder seasons when the higher altitudes are not yet walkable. Walk it with footwear suited to ground that is steep in places.
