The trail from the Bivio Jovençan road junction to the Lacs de Dziule runs through the Vertosan valley, a side valley of the Valdigne in La Salle, in a high-mountain environment of grassland, wetland and rock. The walk begins from a gravel track at 1855 m, already within the valley. The route ascends the valley with a steady 702 m gain over 6.9 km, crossing open terrain with wide panoramas. The Lacs de Dziule lie at approximately 2553 m, set in a residual glacial landscape where rock and water alternate in a spare, clear setting. The optimal season runs from July to September.
