Baulin - Mont Colombo

From Baulin, at 1,763 metres above Avise, a short climb with modest height gain leads to Mont Colombo, a wooded knoll at 1,814 metres. Barely two kilometres with a little over two hundred and fifty metres of total ascent: an easy hike, suitable also for fit families, among larch woods and open clearings. Though a modest goal, Mont Colombo offers a quiet balcony over the central Dora Baltea valley and the surrounding slopes, away from the main hiking flows. It is an ideal half-day outing or a gentle approach to the mountains, walkable for much of the year except full winter.
